The painter Tatjana Lars Kristian Guldbransen is a highly respected international artist. His paintings are displayed in the bibliotheque nationale Paris as well as in the popes private collection. Still he is struggeling a never-ending battle for acceptance in the small island community of Hidra, Norway, where he resides.

His surroundings, his life and even he himself has become a canvas for his art. But the locals doesn't approve or even acknowledge the artistic value in his work. Rather they judge it as meaningles rubbish, and sees Tatjana Lars Kristian not as a colourful, creative human being, but rather as mad and alien. He simply doesn't conform to their standards of life.

7th Heaven is an audio visual journey, exploring the artist's fight for acceptance and understanding for himself and his art. We get a glimpse of the world through his eyes, and get to share his joys, his fears and his critical views on the world.
